Mullins High School is off and running so far this season. The team has compiled a perfect 15-0 record up to this point thanks largely to the great play of their talented 6', 160-pound point guard Eric Smith.

"I'm playing real good so far," Smith said. "I am getting about 17 points and 9 assists per game so far. I am also trying to get my teammates involved. I have really worked on my shooting ability this season which opens up everything else for me and my teammates."

In addition to his ability to score and distribute the basketball, Smith provides a lot more to his team. "I feel like I can do a lot with the ball. I am versatile and I have the ability to control the game and keep my teammates calm."

With his variety of talents, it is no wonder Smith is getting plenty of high major interest. "I am getting the most interest from South Carolina, Clemson, Oklahoma, and Florida so far."

Although Smith previously listed Wake Forest and Florida as his favorites, he has not spoken with Wake Forest in some time. "I also talked to Coach Gaudio from Wake Forest at the Bob Gibbons Evaluation Camp last year but I have not heard from them in a while," said Smith.

"When asked about favorites, Smith stated, "I don't have any favorites at this point. I just want to keep working hard and live up to the expectations."
