"We went to dinner and we hung at Riley Skinner's house and I met some of the recruits and players. Sunday, we met with my position coach and the other coaches, position coaches, and we did some other things. We went to the basketball game. Then, before we left, Riley Haynes and I talked with Coach Grobe for a little bit."
Stachitas visited the University along with fellow Jacksonville commitments Andrew Parker, Riley Haynes, and Scott Betros. He had visited Wake Forest on multiple occasions but was able to meet more of his future teammates on this visit. "I met a lot of the guys," he noted. I got to meet a couple of the tight ends coming in and the [Jacksonville] Raines receiver Jordan [Williams]. Then Joe Looney, an offensive lineman that got there early and a couple of other guys."
This past season, Stachitas led his team to the state finals and a 13-2 record. On the year, Stachitas threw for over 2,500-yards and 30 touchdowns and ran for just over 800-yards as well. He was named Florida Time-Union Player of the Year, St. Augustine Record Offensive Player of the Year, and to the Super 75 team as one of the state of Florida's top 75 seniors.
The 6', 185-pound quarterback will sign with Wake Forest on February 6th at a signing day press conference at his school.
