Roach On Wake's Watch List

Brad Roach is the leader on a 9-0 Williamston team that is cruising towards the state playoffs. At 6-6 and 210 pounds with 4.8 speed, Roach has the prototypical frame of a true pocket passer, but he has good mobility as well.

Brad Roach is an All-Area selection at QB and has been nominated to the Army All-American Bowl. He is 20-4 as a starter overall and is also a standout baseball player.

Roach had a spectacular all around season as a junior on the gridiron and on the diamond. As a junior he was 193/320 for 3,014 yards and 26 TD's, and he batted .462 at 3rd base. He'd like to give both sports a shot in college.

This season he has led his team to a 9-0 record delivering the big play when needed as he did Friday night in helping lead his team to a victory over previously undefeated Roanoke team with an 80 yard touchdown pass. His numbers are down from last year statistically because Williamston is more balanced this season. Roach and company's numbers are up where it matters though as they are now 9-0.

Roach has attended games at William & Mary and Duke and he lists those 2 teams as his favorites. "Williams & Mary and Duke are probably my 2 favorite teams," said Roach. "I like Wake Forest too, and Boston College has been calling me as well. Really, I'm pretty wide open."

Roach doesn't have any formal scholarship offers yet, but he has the frame, arm, and smarts to get it done on the next level. He projects as a full qualifier in the classroom and is a good leader on the field.
