Deacs Get OL Commit

Big offensive lineman Matthew Brim from Carver High in Winston-Salem originally committed to East Carolina. The 6-5 305 pound prospects has now switched his commitment to Coach Grobe and the Wake Forest program.

Matthew Brim is one of the top offensive line prospects in North Carolina this season. He teams with Isaiah Thomas to form a devastating one/two punch on the line of scrimmage. He had been an early commitment to East Carolina, but he has since changed his mind and grabbed the offer from Wake Forest.

"Wake Forest is where he wanted to go all along," said Carver Head Coach Keith Wilkes. "They had held off on offering him until they saw some senior footage, and with the ECU offer on the table, he thought he'd better take it in case he didn't get another one. Wake Forest has liked what they saw out of Brim this season, and they offered him as scholarship. He's had a real good year, and his heart has always been at Wake. He's done now."

In addition to the offers Brim had from Wake Forest and ECU, Coach Wilkes said he had an offer from NC State as well.
