Lee Picking Up Interest

DeaconSports spoke with South View head coach Randy Ledford this week concerning linebacker Jon Lee. Ledford talks about his star defender as well as Lee's recruitment.

South View High School linebacker Jon Lee is having an incredible senior season. With an incredible season so far, the 6-2 200 pound linebacker has begun to pick up interest from major colleges.

Wake Forest has been to see Lee in action this season. Another school, UNC, has shown the most interest in Lee, however. "North Carolina has shown the most interest in Jon," South View head coach Randy Ledford told DeaconSports. "More and more are starting to contact him but UNC has talked with him a whole lot."

So far this season, Lee is playing spectacular. "He is the leading tackler [for our team] with over 140 tackles this year," Ledford said. "He's the leader of the defense. He's got a 4.6 40 and is all over the field."

Coach Ledford told DeaconSports that Lee is a very important factor in helping South View obtain a 9-2 record heading into the first round of playoffs. Playoff brackets will be released Saturday.
