One word used to describe Tristan Spurlock is versatile. He has the ability to do work on the inside as well as slash to the basket and drain the three. So far this spring, Spurlock has played very well for a loaded Boo williams squad.
"Things have been going very good this spring. This is really the first time I have played with such a team oriented AAU squad. We are 13 deep and nobody complains about minutes or stats. We all just want to win and that is great," said Spurlock.
When asked what has made him such a good player, Spurlock responded, "My versatility. I think I have the ability to play the 2, 3, or 4 positions and I have a good inside outside game. I also pride myself on defense as well."
Hard work has really started to pay of for Spurlock and he has no shortage in college offers at this point. "I have offers from UVA, Georgetown, Wake Forest, and Clemson at this point and they are the schools that are on me the hardest right now. I have only 3 weeks left in school and I plan on taking some visits this summer."
As far as Wake is concerned, Spurlock is very interested. "I am real interested in Wake right now. I have talked with Coach Gaudio and Coach Kelsey recently. I actually spoke with Coach Gaudio when he was still an assistant at Wake before Coach Prosser passed away so I am very familiar with him and his staff."
As far as favorites go, Spurlock says nobody is in first place for him. "I dont have a real favorite at this point. I like a few schools a little more than some of the others right now but I don't have a specific team as a leader right now. I want to take some visits first."
