Hendley Signs With Wake

Wake Forest basketball recruit Todd Hendley signed his letter of intent to play basketball at Wake Forest University today at Lee County Senior High School.

Todd Hendley is officially a Demon Deacon. Today at Lee County Senior High School, Hendley signed his name on his letter of intent to play basketball on scholarship at Wake Forest. "I did it around 2:00 today at the school," Hendley said. "My parents came, my coach, athletic director, and principal."

How does he feel knowing he is officially a Demon Deacon? "I'm relieved," he noted. "It takes off a lot of pressure. I feel great and am happy that I'm a Deacon. I just got off the phone with Chris Paul too. I asked him when he was going to sign and he said he was going to do it tomorrow."

Hendley also told DeaconSports today that he working hard this season. "We had a scrimmage last week and our second scrimmage is tomorrow," Hendley said. "In practice I'm doing fine – just trying to work hard. "We're building a new team – it's totally different from last year's squad. We've just been knocking rust off of our boots, but I think as a team we'll do fine."

Hendley also passed along his schedule through January so Demon Deacon fans can see the future of Wake Forest basketball in action this season.
