Michigan Star Signs On

Michigan power forward Kyle Visser put his name on a letter of intent headed for Wake Forest on Wednesday, officially accepting a scholarship offer from Skip Prosser and the Wake Forest Demon Deacon program.

Kyle Visser was Deacon signee #2 for the class of 2002. The center/power forward prospect out of Michigan signed with the Deacons Wednesday afternoon at 12:30. "I signed in our media center about 12:30," Visser said. "It was right after lunch. My family, close friends at school, and family friends were there."

Visser told DeaconSports that he was very excited to be a true Demon Deacon. "It feels great to be a Deacon," Visser said. "It's nice to have it finally done although lately there has been less stress since I knew where I was going."

As for his game, Visser notes that he is working hard and playing well. "I've been playing every day and we look to be really good," he said. "I think we'll have a lot of contributors and success on the team this season."

Personally, Visser is on top of his game as well. "I think I'm playing well," Visser noted. "I've been getting in the gym quite a bit. My strength is definitely finishing around the rim. I'm trying to improve my range on my shot, though."

Visser told DeaconSports that he will probably play center this season for his high school but will more than likely play the power forward position next season at Wake Forest.
