One of the toughest customers at Chris Paul's backcourt camp this past weekend was local product C.J. Harris. His competitive sprit, toughness, and his variety of strong basketball skills were on display throughout the weekend. Harris enjoyed the competition and instruction he received at the camp.
"The camp was real fun," Harris said. "There was a lot of talent there and it was great going up against good competition. It was also fun being around Chris, Rudy Gay, and Jarrett Jack as well as the college counselors. They were all really involved."
This past weekend was not the first time Harris has played ball with Paul, however. "I actually played with Chris the whole week he was in town. I went to campus and played pick up with him."
For months, one of the major questions regarding Harris' recruitment was whether or not Wake Forest would offer the 6'2 guard. Monday evening, Harris received a official offer from Demon Deacon head coach Dino Gaudio. "It feels great to get the offer," said Harris. "I have always been interested in Wake and I have always liked them. I know the people there well and it is close to home."
Harris also has ACC offers from Clemson and Virginia Tech and says he is not sure when he will make a final decision. "I am not sure when I will decide. I know I want to during the first signing period."
