Chennault Gets Offer

Wake Forest coaches have long had a eye on 2010 point guard Tony Chennault. It seems that they have looked long enough and have decided to make a offer to the Philadelphia standout. DeaconSports spoke briefly with Chennault about his new offer.

Tony Chennault has had a very impressive summer. After great performances at the CP3 Backcourt Academy and Reebok All-American camp, Chennault received a offer from Wake Forest.

"I actually got the offer last weekend," Chennault said. "The coaches just told me how much they wanted me there and that they wanted to offer me a scholarship."

How does Chennault feel about Wake? "They are really high up on my list. I like Wake a lot but I am just not ready to make a decision right now."

Chennault will be attending the Adidas Super 64 event in Las Vegas this weekend and he stated he has no exact time table on when he will make a college choice. He will decide "whenever I feel ready."

Chennault has displayed plenty of basketball skill, toughness, and leadership throughout the spring and summer. His play with an edge to his game and a and a refuse to lose attitude has certainly earned him a Demon Deacon offer and you can expect Chennault to receive more high-major offers.
