DeaconSports checked back in with Wake Forest verbal commit John Tereshinski this past weekend concerning the latest with his recruitment as well as his season.

While the linebacker out of Georgia has previously planned to visit Vanderbilt, he says he will not take that trip anymore. "I think I'm not going to even do that anymore," Tereshinski said. "I'm just going to take an official visit to Wake. That will be December 6, 7, and 8."

Why is he set on Wake Forest? Plenty of reasons. "I like the campus and I liked the coaching staff a lot," he said. "I met some of the players and I really liked them. Wake also has nice facilities. They're doing well.

"I know Coach Lambert pretty well because he coached at Georgia. I also met Coach Grobe and tight ends coach – they're great guys."

. Tereshinski, who received offers from Vanderbilt, Furman, and Wake Forest early in his recruitment, was injured early in the season and has been out for at least six weeks of games. "I cracked my fibula," he said, "and I've been getting treatment and trying to get back into it. I'm starting slow getting back now."
