Terrell Ready For Junior Campaign

This summer, the Wake Forest coaches got a big commitment from 2010 scoring machine J.T. Terrell. Since that point, the pressure has been off of Terrell and he has been able to focus on improving his game. DeaconSports caught up with Terrell this week to get his thoughts on his upcoming season.

Although J.T. Terrell and his teammates at Burlington Cummings do not start their season until December 2nd, Terrell is already working hard on his game and preparing for the 2008-2009 season.

"Right now, I am working hard in the weight room," said Terrell. "I want to increase my strength and endurance. I am also doing individual workouts with my high school coach and also working out by myself."

Terrell has high expectations for this year's team at Burlington Cummings. "We have a lot of players coming back from last year and we should be much improved. The goal is to get another ring."

Terrell's main focus is winning games and does not think a lot about individual goals. "I really don't have individual expectations," he said. "I just want to win and get better as a player."

Terrell recently visited Wake for their game with Ole Miss and had a great time with his future teammates. "I had a real good time at Wake. I had a lot of fun with the current players and recruits that were there like C.J. Harris and Ryan Kelly. I get along real well with the guys at Wake and I talk with them from time to time."

With another summer of improvement, Deacon fans can expect a huge season from J.T Terrell this year. Although he is known as a great shooter, Terrell is also a very good athlete that can take the ball to the basket and finish. With his hard work in the weight room and in the gym, look for Terrell to be one of North Carolina's best.
