One of his new coaches is former Demon Deacon basketball player John Buck. "Coach Buck is great. He is showing me a lot. Not only is he showing me things I can do to be better in high school, but also skills that will help me when I get to college. He will see something I do and say 'You can get away with that in high school but not in the ACC.' It has been great working with him so far. He knows what it will take for me to be successful at the next level."
Harris is working on all facets of his game in preparation for his upcoming season. "I am working on my defense and quickness so I can guard a 3 if I need to. I just keep on working on all parts of my game and just want to get better. My goal this year is a state title and I think we can do it."
At the current moment, Harris has a long list of schools which includes Wake Forest. Although he has yet to visit Wake, he plans to do so soon. "The Wake coaches talked with my dad a few days ago and I am very interested in them. I hope to get down there soon. I have trips to UConn and Marquette coming up so I won't get down this month. It looks like I will be visiting for a game this year. I am really going to keep a eye on Wake this season."
Finally, when asked if he knew Coach Buck had one of the most memorable dunks in recent Wake history, Harris responded that he had seen Coack Buck's memorable moment. "Yeah, I saw his dunk on YouTube. It was real funny and I cracked up. I haven't really given him a hard time about it. It was cool though."
