Dixon Returns From Wake Visit

Florida defensive back Sean Dixon visited Wake Forest this weekend along with a fellow teammate. DeaconSports spoke with Dixon on Monday after the cornerback returned from his Winston-Salem visit.

Florida cornerback Sean Dixon officially visited Wake Forest this past weekend. The trip to Wake Forest was Dixon's first official visit and it did not disappoint.

"It was good," Dixon told DeaconSports. "They took me out and showed me the campus. It was nice. If I don't like the rest of my visits a really lot, I could stay there for four years. It was like home. I'd have to get used to the weather but it wasn't that bad. I had a nice time. I like the coaches. Me and my teammate Greg Lee both went."

What did the Florida native do on his visits? "Well, we met some of the players, they took me around the campus, went a couple of parties, and met some of the teachers," Dixon continued. "I think the student-teacher ratio and graduation rates are good. They had a bunch of good feasts for us too. It was a good deal. I could deal with Wake!"

As for other schools, Dixon mentioned five other schools that have offered and two new schools that are beginning to be more active. "Georgia and Georgia Tech just rolled in the picture," Dixon said. "Louisville, Missouri, USF (South Florida), Purdue and Vanderbilt are the other schools. Georgia and Georgia Tech haven't offered me but the others have. This past week, Duke came to the house, Iowa State, UConn, Purdue, and Wake Forest."

Dixon told DeaconSports that he currently has three schools up at the top of his list. "I know Wake Forest is top on my list," Dixon said, "and probably Louisville and Vanderbilt. I'll visit all my other schools in January."

We also asked Dixon how his friend Greg Lee enjoyed his visit. "We both liked it equally," Dixon said. "We both decided we could go there. It would be good if we both decide to go there together, but who knows. I can't say."
