Andrews Enjoys Wake Visit

With just over a handful of scholarships left to give out, Wake Forest is looking to pick up a quality running back in this recruiting class. One of the elite backs the Deacs are looking at is Atlanta running back Micah Andrews, the 26th rated back in the nation.

Demon Deacon running back prospect Micah Andrews visited Wake Forest December 20-22. While Andrews has not made other visits, he has essentially narrowed his choices down to four schools, Boston College, Virginia, Vanderbilt, and Wake Forest.

"Offers I've got are Vanderbilt, Wake [Forest], Virginia, Boston College, Tulane, Troy State," Andrews said. "I've visited Wake Forest and have one set to Vanderbilt on the 10th. I've got Virginia on the 17th and my Boston College visit is pending."

As for his visit to Wake Forest, Andrews said that he had a wonderful time in Winston-Salem. "It was great," Andrews said. "All the players were real nice and everyone had good character. Coach Grobe was real nice. They're making strides in the football department and the academic department."

"The coaches are real nice and up front. They didn't BS much. They just seemed like upstanding guys. They told me that Tarence Williams is leaving so they said Barclay got to play young as a freshman and it's not unheard of for a freshman to play early. So I might get a chance to do that if I go to Wake Forest."

When will the star running back out of Georgia decide? "I'll probably in a couple of weeks," Andrews said. "Who knows, though. I could decide as early as tomorrow and as late as the end of January."

Andrews is the 26th rated running back in the nation according to TheInsiders.
