Jefferson Favors WFU

Wide receiver Chris Jefferson has offers from many of the top schools in the southeast. In our latest interview with Jefferson, he names Wake Forest as his leader.

2003 is the year of the receiver, and some of the best receivers have gotten lost in the shuffle when talking about some of the top players in the south. Chris Jefferson is one of those players. He had 40+ catches for 700 yards receiving this season.

After an early visit to Vanderbilt, the Commodores held a commanding lead, but with a strong performance on the field, there is a new top contender for Mr. Jefferson's services.

"I went to Wake Forest a couple of weeks ago, and they're in the lead right now," said Jefferson. "They have just about the same things to offer that Vanderbilt does, but they are a little closer to home. They've also been winning on the field. I still have visits to Clemson and Boston College. Wake has a slight lead right now, but I still want to take those last two visits."
