Florida running back Alan Abrams is seeing lots interest from the Wake Forest these days. Find out the latest with Abrams' recruitment in our exclusive interview.
For a good part of the season, Apopka, Fla. standout running back Alan Abrams
appeared to be a running back prospect for the Hurricanes and one that was high on UM. However, it appears things have started to change. "I've been talking with Purdue, Ole Miss, Wake Forest, South Carolina, and South Florida lately," Abrams said. "I actually go on a visit to South Carolina this weekend and then I go to Ole Miss after that. Those are the ones that seem the most interested in me right now."
Abrams received an in-home visit from UM running backs coach Don Soldinger in December, right before Christmas break. "He basically talked about coming in and playing," he said. "He didn't offer me then and I kind of figured they weren't going to. They wanted me to come in for a visit later this month but I decided that I'm not even going to take it."
Abrams, who had a successful visit to Purdue earlier, said he'll take a few more trips before making a final decision. "I'm not sure which one it would be," he said when asked about a favorite. "I'll take these other [trips] and then know."
