"The AAU season is going real well. I will play anywhere on the court to help my team win. It really doesn't matter. I just want to win and compete."
When asked about the list of schools recruiting him, Hood responded. "Georgia Tech, Alabama, N.C. State, Baylor, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Duke, and a few more."
When I asked Hood if Wake was in the "few more", he replied "Definitely. It's just hard to keep up with so many schools." Hood also said he plans to attend the CP3 Backcourt Skills Academy this summer in Winston-Salem.
Also at the TOC was 6'9 235 pound center Tyler Adams with his team, the Jackson Tigers. Adams is a big man but don't let that fool you. He is nimble on his feet and can really operate down low. He also has nice hands and court awareness. When he was doubled, which was frequent, he often made the right pass to a teammate. Still, Adams is a bit of a throwback center which is nice to see. He knows how to get good position down low and use his body to shield defenders.
"AAU season is going pretty good so far", said Adams. "We struggled a bit in the 17u but we are doing pretty good in 16u."
When asked about a school list, Adams responded "Florida, the new staff at Kentucky, Memphis still, Alabama, Arkansas, LSU, Mississippi State, USC, Baylor, and Wake Forest."
Adams said he hopes to attend some elite camps this summer and he is very intersted in "Wake Forest and Kentucky."
