Miller Having a Stellar AAU Season

Quincy Miller has seen his stock sky rocket this summer thanks to his outstanding play on the AAU circuit with D-One Sports. The versatile 6'9 forward has played in such prestigious events as the Pangos All-American camp and the King City Classic. DeaconSports recently caught up with Miller to get his thoughts about the AAU season so far and his recruitment.

There is no doubt one of the most versatile and talented high school players in the country, regardless of class, is Quincy Miller. Miller has been terrific this AAU season for his D-One Sports team as well as having great showings at the Pangos and Lebron James camps. But don't think Miller is satisfied with where he's is currently.

"I've just been trying to step up and show what I can do," said Miller. "I want prove I can play on any level. It feels great to be ranked high. I always wanted to be ranked at the top and I'm going to work hard to stay there."

Miller has seen his recruitment go through the roof recently and that will not let up anytime soon. "Schools have just been calling a lot. I really don't have a top list of schools right now though. To be honest I don't think about it. When the time comes I will but for now I'm just concentrating on playing ball and getting better. The attention is nice but I am not going to let it get to my head."

One school that is keep close tabs on Miller is Wake Forest. The Demon Deacons have been recruiting the sensational rising junior for some time now. "I love Wake. The facilities there are really nice and Coach Dino is always in touch with me which is great. J.T. has also been talking to me some about playing with him there."

When the time comes, Miller knows what he will be looking for. "I want to go somewhere I feel comfortable. I want to feel like I can trust the people there. I also want to go somewhere that will help me get to the next level."

Don't expect Quincy Miller to take it easy now that he is near the top of everyone's 2011 rankings. This young man is going to remain hungry and motivated to keep climbing to the top. That type of attitude and work ethic will take him a long way.
