Noel, who visited Wake Forest for the past few days with teammate and WFU commitment Zachary Allen, was able to see the campus, hang out with players, meet staff, and meet players on his trip. "It was great to hang out with some of the players," he said. "They got to know us and we got to know them. Everyone was great."
"The players from Pahokee who went to Wake all did well there," he added. "All of them graduated with their degree. The coaches are like fathers to the players and that's big on my behalf because my father wasn't really there. That's really important and that's another reason that I want to be there."
Noel was previously committed to Florida State but admitted that he had always been keeping a close eye on Wake Forest. "The commitment to FSU was just a dream school I wanted to go to. The coaches there were pressuring me a lot so I wanted to give them a verbal."
After spending quality time on Wake's campus, however, he knows that he's set with Wake Forest. "No, I'm not taking any more visits," Noel said. "My only visit is going to be Wake. That's my official. I'm done, my mind is set and that's where I'm going to sign in February."
In the meantime, Noel and his teammates will work towards a state title run in 2009. "That's what we do in Pahokee," he said. We play for a championship. We're going to put it all on the line to try to win a championship."
