Wake gets commitment from 3 star CB

Wake Forest recruiting continues to pile up momentum. Another three star prospect has verballed to the Deacons.

Johnny Edwards is a 3 star cornerback prospect by that has been committed to Vanderbilt since early in the year. An official visit to Wake Forest on December 20th made him re-consider the change, and he officially made the switch this week.

"I took and official visit to Wake on 12-20," said Edwards. "I really hit it off there with the players, and when I took my official to Vanderbilt (1-17), that's really what I was looking for. I wanted to see if I got along with the players as well at Vanderbilt as well as I did at Wake Forest. That was really the only difference between the schools. It was a hard decision to make, because I like both coaching staffs. They were all really nice to me. There were a lot of good people and the coaches are good men. I made my final decision on Monday though when Coach Grobe and Coach Lambert were here on Monday."

Wake Forest has been arguably the biggest surprise of the recruiting season, and getting another three star player on board is more positive momentum for this up and coming program.
