Chris Paul Update

DeaconSports checked in with Chris Paul Wednesday before the point guard signee took off to his game against Richmond County. Paul talked about his slight injury Tuesday night, his season, and the upcoming Reynolds - West Forsyth match-ups.

Chris Paul continues to have a stellar senior season for West Forsyth High School. Paul, a point guard from Clemmons, North Carolina, had a great game Tuesday night although he got banged up in the first quarter.

"I think I ended with 34 [points], nine [rebounds], seven [assists] and six [steals] steals last night," Paul said. "We won something like 110-60."

Paul's game against North Davidson Tuesday night was not all good, however. Paul was injured in the first quarter.

"I got undercut last night and hurt my leg," Paul said. "I'm going to go up to the game and see if the trainer can mess with it but right now it's hurting a little bit. I got bruised up. It's something with my hamstring."

Paul will play tonight against Richmond County, however.

"I'm definitely going to play. I'm going to make sure we win!"

After West Forsyth's affair with Richmond County tonight, the Titans have just a few more games before facing off with Reynolds in two much-anticipated match-ups.

"[The Reynolds games] are the 12th and 14th of February," Paul said. We asked Paul about playing a game on Valentine's Day. "It's fine," Paul said, "but bring the wives and girlfriends to the game. We're going to need all the support we can get."
