Hinds starts his high school season this week and he is anxious to get it going.
"I'm ready to go out there and be a leader and win games," said Hinds. "I expect a lot out of myself and my teammates. We have a young team this year but we will go out there and play hard."
Some people may not be familiar with the cat quick lefty but they will be soon. "I'm an up tempo guard. I really push the ball and get my teammates involved. I like to attack the rim and get to the foul line. This helps open up things for my jumper."
On the recruiting front, Hinds has the attention of several Division I programs including Wake Forest, Seton Hall, and Oklahoma State. When asked which school was showing him the most interest, Hinds responded, "I'd say Wake Forest."
Although he has been unable to visit Wake, Hinds is familiar coach Dino Gaudio's program. "Wake is a really good program. I like the way they push the ball and let their point guard make plays."
Hinds also stated that distance will not be a factor in his decision and he will really be looking at style of play and academics when it comes to his college decision.
With a great combination of speed, skills, and athleticism, look for big things from Jabarie Hinds this season.
