Jackson Hesitant To Name A Leader

Gibbs High School defensive end Tim Jackson is taking his time in deciding which uniform he will be donning in the 2010 season. The 6-foot-4, 220 pound Florida native has taken visits to Wake Forest, Stanford and most recently UNC. He still has two official visits left and he plans to use both of them.

"I'm not sure yet where I'm going to take them," Tim Jackson said, "but most likely I'm going to take one of them at Vanderbilt."

Jackson said he enjoyed his recent visit in Chapel Hill, meeting with players and Head Coach Butch Davis. He visited Wake back in September and hinted that he was concerned that the length of time since his visit to Winston-Salem might alter his opinion with the UNC visit so fresh in his mind.

"I thought that might happen," Jackson said, "so after the North Carolina visit I went over to Wake since it was just two hours away. I went on my official visit by myself, so my parents got to meet with the coaches, tour the facilities and whatnot."

"Both UNC and Wake are really different, but it's all about just finding the right place for me."

Jackson said that academics definitely will be a factor in his decision. He said that getting his degree is really important and he wants to graduate early.

Although he has not narrowed his list down at all, Jackson mentioned that if he had to name his leaders they would be the schools he has visited: Wake Forest, UNC and Stanford.
