Three remain for Florida DE

Read on for the latest on St. Pete (Gibbs) standout defensive end Tim Jackson.

Tim Jackson emerged as one of the top defensive prospects in the greater Tampa area this year and Scout caught up with him for the latest.

"I played in an all star game and have just been lifting weights and doing track lately," Jackson said.

Jackson, 6-foot-4 and 215 pounds, talked about the latest on the recruiting front. With over 20 scholarship offers at one point, he seems to have it down to three.

"I'm still considering Wake Forest, Mississippi State, and North Carolina," he said. "I've already visited North Carolina and Wake and I should be going to Mississippi State this weekend."

So what's the standout defensive end prospect looking for in a school?

"At this point I am looking for a place where I feel comfortable," he said. "That's the main thing. I'll take this visit and then be able to compare the three."
