Days Interested In Wake

Rod Days Jr. has been instrumental to the success of Sagemont High School basketball team. The 6'6 junior wing has seen his recruitment increase as well this seasonl. Thanks to his impressive play on the court, he is hearing from multiple Division I schools including Wake Forest.

Rod Days Jr. is in the middle of a good run in the Florida state playoffs. With big man Fab Melo controlling the middle and Days slashing from the wing, Sagemont has been a tough team to beat this season.

"The season is going really well," said Days. "We had a bit of a slow start but really came together as the season has gone on. We are in the regional finals right now."

A 6'6 forward, Days is very athletic and uses his size and athleticism to attack the basket. "I am a slasher. I like to drive the ball and get to the basket. I have the ability to shoot the 3 if it's there but I prefer to attack the basket."

Days has gotten the attention of many Division I schools thanks to his outstanding play this season. He indicated to DeaconSports that he has offers from Miami, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina and Wake Forest.

According to Days, he has enjoyed getting to know more about Wake Forest and is highly interested in Coach Gaudio's program. "I like Wake a lot - they are in my top 2," said Days who didn't name his other favorite. "I really like the way they get up and down the court. Their style of play is a perfect fit for me. I haven't visited Wake yet but hope to do so this spring or summer."

Days also indicated he hopes to make a college choice before the start of his senior year.
