Aaron Agnew Update

Although Wake Forest has exhausted all of their scholarships for the Class of 2004, Skip Prosser and staff are still getting Wake's name out. One player the Deacs are still chasing is Aaron Agnew, one of the biggest players in the Class of 2004. Here's a look at his recruitment and where it stands.

Aaron Agnew, the big center for Bellaire High, told us that he's averaging in the neighborhood of 20 points, 12 rebounds and 4 rejections a game this year. His team starts district play on Tuesday.

Agnew said that thus far Xavier and Florida State were recruiting him the hardest. Wake Forest and Ohio State, he said, are also chasing him. However, the big fella was quick to point out that he lacks a formal list of colleges that he's interested in.

He might take a short trip to see a game at Xavier this week, but other than that, he hasn't been on campus this year. "A couple of schools said they wanted to get me to see some games but that's been it," Agnew said.

The 6-10, 360-pounder said foul shooting and running the floor better have been points of emphasis in his game this year. He'll run with the Northeast Ohio Shooting Stars this summer and attend the adidas ABCD Camp.
