Current college stars who appeared in the 2002 Regional Game include Maryland's Nik Caner-Medley and Chris McCray and Georgetown standout Brandon Bowman.

"We are excited to be celebrating our 30th anniversary in Washington, D.C. this April with Nike's Jordan Division as our partner," says Robert J. Geoghan, President of Sports America, Inc. and founder of the Capital Classic. "If last year's players were any indication of the future of the Jordan Capital Classic, this year's event should be the most talented group of seniors we have ever had."

Over the past 29 years, the Capital Classic has included appearances by Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Jason Kidd, Grant Hill, Mike Bibby, Elton Brand, Jay Williams, Moses Malone and Patrick Ewing and current NCAA stars Jason Gardner (Arizona), Luke Walton (Arizona), Steve Blake (Maryland), Michael Sweetney (Georgetown) and Nick Collison (Kansas).

"We are honored to continue our association with the Jordan Capital Classic," says Larry Miller, President of Jordan, a division of Nike Inc. "These young players will have the opportunity to compete against their gifted peers, experience the history of Washington, D.C. and meet the greatest basketball player of all time, Michael Jordan. It is truly a unique experience that no other event can match."

The doubleheader will begin at 6:00 p.m. with the Regional Game, followed by the National Game at 8:00 p.m. Tickets are on sale now through Ticketmaster. Prices for the Jordan Capital Classic are $30.00, $22.50 and $17.50 for both games.
