"I think I played well (at Pangos)," said Turner. "It was great going up against some of the top competition in the country."
Prior to Pangos, Turner was tearing it with his AAU team the Oakland Soliders. "We have been winning a lot of games so far this AAU season. Jabari Brown and I have been working really well together in the backcourt."
Turner has shown his ability to both pass and score throughout both his high school and AAU season which is one reason he is so difficult to handle.
"I am a pass first point guard that can score. I use my strength and size to make things happen. A lot of other point guards are smaller than I am."
On the recruiting front, Turner has offers from multiple teams on both coasts. "I have offers from Wake Forest, Kansas, Georgia Tech, Florida, Florida International, SMU, Arizona, USC, Cal, Arizona State, and Oregon," he said.
In recent interviews, Turner has listed Wake Forest in his top two along with Kansas. What has attracted the sensational point guard to Wake Forest?
"The new coach. Coach Bzdelik was recruiting me when he was at Colorado. I like his style of play and how he wants to get up and down the floor. Also, Coach Battle has been recruiting me for awhile. I also like where Wake Forest is located. I haven't visited yet but North Carolina is a nice place. I plan on taking some visits this summer and I want to see Wake."
Turner also stated that the main factors in his decision will be the relationship with the coaching staff as well as style of play and academics.
Josiah Turner would be a terrific pick up for the Demon Deacons. Turner's skill set would fit in perfectly to what Coach Bzdelik and his staff want. He is point guard that can not only set his teammates up and make them better, but also light up the scoreboard.
