"I know a little bit about them (Wake Forest). I'm interested in them. I just want to talk to the coaching staff. In the past they've signed running backs that are a little different style than I am. It will be interesting to see how that will work out."
When asked to elaborate, Green made a point about his own playing style and went on to describe the evolution of his game.
"I think I'm a power back," he said. "That's one of my strengths, and my vision. What they've seen (Wake) is my film from last year. I wasn't as fast as I am now. back then I ran a 4.59 and this year I ran a 4.4. I'm kind of moving towards what they've had in the past, so now I'm a little bit of both power and speed."
Green will be at Wake Forest this weekend so the coaches may make a final decision on whether or not to extend the written offer. He already has offers from Memphis, Western Kentucky and North Dakota.
"I don't know too much about Wake Forest except that it's in North Carolina and they have really good academics," he said.
Green said Nebraska, Georgia Tech and Northwestern are some of the other schools showing interest that have not offered yet. He does not have any favorites because he has not visited the schools that have offered. He said he should have a better idea of which schools he likes at the end of the summer.
