Bullard Enjoys WFU Camp

Marcus Bullard attended Wake Forest's camp over the weekend and DeaconSports caught up with him after he was done performing. Bullard already holds an offer from the Demon Deacons so there wasn't as much riding on the camp for him as there was for other prospects that weren't fortunate enough to have offers already...

The rising senior prospect performed well, as he told DeaconSports, but the Wake coaches did have some advice.

"I just left the Wake Forest camp," Marcus Bullard said on Sunday. "It was pretty good. I got to talk to Coach Russ afterward and he said I was looking really good. He said I just need to put on some weight."

Though Bullard has been listed at 6'3 and 200 pounds, he told DeaconSports that he is now at 188 pounds. That would be very light for a college linebacker but at this point he could be a tweener prospect. If he doesn't significantly bulk up, he noted that he could be a defensive back prospect.

The camp went well but it wasn't Bullard's first trip to Wake Forest. He has been to the school multiple times now so he knew what to expect going in.

"They have a good organization at the school," he said. "I had been up here for games last year and a camp so I like it."

Bullard was at Duke on Saturday and he enjoyed that camp as well. He said the Blue Devils' staff worked their campers hard, and he only had a chance to speak with one of Duke's coaches so he isn't sure how interested they are.

The South Carolina prospect will be at Clemson on Tuesday for the Tigers' camp. He will later camp at NC State, Maryland and Vanderbilt.

"I think Vanderbilt and Maryland are real high on me so I hope I do well there and something happens," he said.

Bullard plans on announcing his college destination after his senior season at Columbia (SC) Spring Valley.
