"We had a good year," said McClinton. "One thing we learned as a team is not to get a big head. We were expected to be good but had to learn not to be too overconfident. I learned a lot from the older guys on our team, It was an adjustment for me to play the point. I think I am more of a wing player and I think that is where I will play next year."
This summer, McClinton is working hard on his overall game while playing with the CP3 All-Stars 15U. "I am really working on my ball handling and 3-point shot. I feel like I am at my best cutting to the basket as well as in transition and my mid-range game".
A few weeks ago, McClinton participated in the Wake Forest Elite Camp, and by all accounts, was very impressive.
"The camp was great. It is definitely one of the best camps I have done. It was also one of the longest camps I have been to. I really learned a lot there."
While it is early in the process, McClinton has already developed a good relationship with Wake Forest. "I really like Wake. It is a great school and I really have a great relationship with some of the coaches there."
