Jeff Hironaka, the Cougs' director of player development/special assistant to the head coach, is moving on.

"I will miss WSU n the fans who have been great. Excited for the chance to coach again," Hironaka tweeted on Monday.

It wasn't immediately clear from Hironaka's twitter where he was headed but there's been some buzz around cyberspace that Portland State will be his landing spot.

Hironaka came to WSU with Ken Bone as an assistant coach after working together for 11 seasons at Seattle Pacific. Bone moved Hironaka to the new role in May of 2012 (not coaching in games, no recruiting off-campus) in an effort to bring on a new assistant, Ray Lopes, with a larger recruiting reach.
