NFL Cougar Highlights: Week Two

THERE WERE NO records broken by Cleveland running back Jerome Harrison in the Browns rematch with Kansas City, Sunday. In fact, Harrison's ground game was the polar opposite of the 286 yards he tallied against the Chiefs last December, with the "Ghost" gaining just 33 yards on 16 carries.

So distraught was he by his performance following the Browns' 16-14 to KC, the always affable and approachable Washington State alum respectfully declined post-game interviews.

Here's how the NFL Cougs performed in week two :

Hamza Abdullah, S, Arizona, 6th season: Declared inactive (hamstring) for the Cardinals'41-7 loss to Atlanta.

Husain Abdullah, S, Minnesota, 3rd season: Recorded three tackles (2 solo) in Vikings' 14-10 loss to Miami.

Tyron Brackenridge, CB, Jacksonville, 4th season: Posted three solo stops in the Jags' 38-13 fall to San Diego.

Erik Coleman, S, Atlanta, 7th season: The Spokane native was declared inactive for the Falcons' ….due to a lingering knee injury from week one.

Jed Collins, FB, New Orleans, 3rd season:Signed to the Saints' practice squad last week; released from the Saints' practice squad, today.

Eric Frampton, S, Minnesota, 4th season: No recorded stats from Vikings' loss to Miami.

Brandon Gibson, WR, St. Louis, 2nd season: Declared inactive (healthy scratch) for Rams' 16-14 loss to Oakland.

Jason Hanson, K, Detroit, 19th season: The Spokane native was perfect on three extra-point attempts and one field goal try (from 49 yards) in the Lions' 35-32 loss to Philadelphia.

Jerome Harrison, RB, Cleveland, 5th season: Carried the ball 16 times for 33 yards—fumbling once—and caught 3 passes for another 35 in the Browns' 16-14 loss to Kansas City. Also, returned 2 kickoffs for 17 yards.

Jason Hill, WR, San Francisco, 4th season: No recorded stats from 49ers 25-22 Monday night loss to New Orleans.

Chris Ivory, RB, New Orleans, rookie:: Declared inactive (knee) for the Saints' victory against San Fran.

Rian Lindell, K, Buffalo, 11th season: The Vancouver, Wash. native connected on his lone PAT in the Bills' 34-7 fall to Green Bay. In his 10-plus seasons and over 300 extra-point attempts, Lindell has never missed a PAT.

Ropati Pitoitua, DE, New York Jets, 2nd season: Did not play; out for the season on injured reserve (achilles).

Marcus Trufant, DB, Seattle, 8th season: The Tacoma native posted five tackles (2 solo) in the Seahawks' 31-14 loss to Denver.
