Two Cougs earn All-Pac-10 honors

THE ALL PAC-10 honors are out and two Cougs made the list. Klay Thompson, the conference's leading scorer, was named to the first team, and DeAngelo Casto was named to the second team and also was picked to the all-defensive team.

Thompson and Casto, both juniors, helped lead Washington State to a 19-11 (9-9 conference) regular-season record.

Thompson averaged 21.4 points per game on 44 percent shooting and played a team-high 34.5 minutes per game this season. He was among the Pac-10's leaders in most major statistical categories and considered a strong contender for league player of the year, but that honor when to Arizona sophomore Derrick Williams. This is the second season Thompson has been named to the 10-member first team.

Casto was the Cougs' third leading scorer at 12 per game behind Faisal Aden (12.9), and led the Cougs with 6.8 rebounds each time out. He had 44 blocks on the season.

Washington State takes on Washington in the first round of the Pac-10 tournament on Thursday night, with the tip scheduled for 8:40 p.m. PT. The game will be televised by FSN.
