Cougs offer Colorado QB

HE HAS BEEN known to heave it 65 yards in the air. He's the son of a coach. As a junior he led his team to the playoffs for the first time in five years. And he has just been offered by Washington State.

Quarterback Austin Apodaca (6-2, 180) out of Longmont, Colo. has been offered by WSU according to Scout.com.

He completed 64 percent of his passes (168 of 261) for 2,367 yards with 25 touchdowns against 11 interceptions as a junior at Silver Creek High.

Apodaca, the co-offensive player of the year in the Class 3A Northern Conference in 2010, is the son of Silver Creek coach Mike Apodaca.
