Cougar football coming to 770 AM in Seattle

IT'S BEEN AN adventure for many on the west side of the state trying to tune in to Cougar football and Cougar basketball on the radio dial. That should no longer be the case. Bill Moos said on Thursday afternoon that the Cougars will be heard loud and clear on KTTH 770-AM come September.

Cougar hoops games will also be on KTTH.

"We've been working on this for a couple of months," Bill Moos said. "Washington State Athletics and IMG... have agreed to a three year deal with... 770 KTTH AM to do our football and men's basketball."

Bonneville Media owns both 770-KTTH and 710-KIRO.

Moos said the deal will include additional programming on KIRO 710-AM, such as additional radio shows.

KIRO, which is affiliated with the ESPN Radio Network, also carries both the Seattle Seahawks and Seattle Mariners games.
