BREAKING: Mike Leach lands Cali LB

MIKE LEACH HAS landed another verbal commitment. This time, it's a three year starter at outside linebacker who had offers from the likes of Arizona, North Carolina State, West Virginia and more.

And he's also coming to the Cougs by way of Culver City High.

"I can just see myself playing there," said Khalil Pettway, who will join teammate Alex Jackson in Pullman. "I talked with coach (Mike) Leach and a number of coaches...and it was just a strong impression."

Pettway is ranked three stars and No. 73 nationally at the OLB position by

Pettway actually visited WSU a while back, before Leach arrived. But he remained committed to SMU for a time before opening things back up earlier this month.

"When I went up there, it felt like a real good place...I've talked with Coach Leach and a number of coaches there... he has a strong résumé, and Washington State is up and coming. I want to be part of that," said Pettway.

Pettway said he and Jackson didn't really plan to go crimson within hours of one another.

"We didn't, we really decide to do it on the same day. We had both talked about going there but it just happened like that today. I'm excited to be a Coug, I cant wait to get up there," said Pettway.
