COMMIT: LA linebacker goes crimson

WASHINGTON STATE IS amassing quite the linebacker class for 2012. No fewer than five 'backers are in the WSU recruiting class after the latest future Cougar, Jeremiah Allison, came on board Monday.

Dorsey's Allison has verballed to Washington State, he tells CF.C.

Allison's mom has had health problems (things are looking up on that front, he said) and the way WSU handled his recruitment during that tough time mattered.

"They brought their whole coaching staff to see me through my adversity. They are an up and coming program and I was trained to never be afraid, to attack things head on -- I wanted to go there and be one of the main factors that will change the program around," Allison told

Allison's verbal doesn't come as a surprise, as CF.C detailed here --

Allison is an outstanding student who is ranked No. 40 in the nation at outside linebacker and three stars.

He held offers from Washington State, Arizona, UCLA, Boise State, SMU and others.

New defensive coordinator Mike Breske likes to blitz, and so does Allison. He racked up 23 sacks this year alone, three short of the school record, with 63 sacks over his prep career.

WSU has five linebackers in their 2012 class -- Khalil Pettway, Kache Palacio, Jacob Tuivaiave, Keith Ewing and Allison.
