OH NO! Aden out for rest of season

THE SECOND HALF of the Cougars' Pac-12 slate just got a whole lot tougher. Guard Faisal Aden, in the Pac-12's top ten scorers, suffered a left anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tear in the first half against Arizona this past Thursday. He will miss the remainder of the season.

On the upside, Ken Bone has plenty of guards on the roster to choose from.

It is expected DaVonté Lacy's minutes will increase that much more, and Will DiIorio and Dexter Kernich-Drew should also see more playing time.

But losing Faisal Aden is a big blow.

Aden was averaging a team second-best 14.5 points a game (ninth in the Pac-12), while shooting a league-best .894 (42-for-47) from the free throw line.

Fresh off being named the Pac-12 Player of the Week for the week of Jan. 16-22, he tallied six points and grabbed two rebounds in 11 minutes of action in the game against the Wildcats before he tore his ACL.

Washington State (11-10, 3-6 Pac-12) looks to remain perfect in Pullman as it hosts USC (6-16, 1-8), Thursday, Feb. 2 at Beasley Coliseum. Tip is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
