Crazy final hours: Hawaiian DB back w/ Cougs

HAWAII THREE STAR SAFETY Taylor Taliulu switched his commitment from WSU to Hawaii on Sunday. But after talking it over with his family the past 24 hours, he tells CF.C the right choice for him was the one he made back during the summer.

"I just wanted to let you know after thinking hard about it yesterday, this morning and today, and then talking it over with my family, I'm committed to Washington State... I will sign with Washington State tomorrow," said Kamehameha Secondary's Taliulu.

Hawaii had made a strong push, and Taliulu changed his verbal commitment for about 48 hours.

"The coaches really talked about building something at Hawaii and that appealed to me. But I just fell in love with Washington State this summer when I was over there and that's the best choice for me," said Taliulu.

Taliulu said there were some happy coaches in Pullman this afternoon.

"I just actually got off the phone with Mike Leach, coach Mike Breske and coach Joe S'alave'a to tell them.. I'm very excited to sign with WSU tomorrow," said Taliulu.
