MIKE LEACH: 'Seattle is our town'

WHY JUST GO AFTER one bird when you can knock off two? Mike Leach wants Cougar fans to make it impossible for Oregon to have any sort of significant presence at Century Link Field for the Cougs' game against the Ducks. In addition, he declared Seattle to be "our town."

That must make the purple-clad denizens happy.

In a letter sent out June 25, Mike Leach emphasizes that after Aug. 4, tickets for the WSU-Oregon game in Seattle will be made available to the general public.

Oregon fans are expected to travel well to a venue 175 miles away -- if seats are available.

CenturyLink's seating capacity is 67,000. A year ago for Cougars-Beavers matchup, WSU had sold about 35,000 tickets when sales were opened to the general public.

Meanwhile, Leach also emphasized that as the Washington State Cougars, the state belongs to the Cougs.

"...I have heard on multiple occasions that there will be just as many Oregon fans at the game as Cougar fans," writes Leach. "I refuse to even fathom that notion.

"This is our game, Seattle is our town, and you as a Cougar fan have exclusive access to purchase tickets before they go on sale to the general public."
