Two high-profile WSU defenders in trouble

ON THE CUSP of Pac-12 Media Day, two Coug upperclassmen were arrested for on July 20 and 22 in separate incidents.

The Pullman Police Daily Log shows BUCK linebacker Travis Long was arrested for Minor in Possession of Alcohol on July 20th.

The incident took place at 455 NE Campus St & NE Opal Street according to the log, an area of Greek Row.

Nose Tackle Anthony Laurenzi was arrested for Theft 3rd degree on July 22, according to the police log.

That incident took place at 1690 SE Harvest Drive, which Google Maps pinpoints as a Walmart.

"The coaching staff is aware of it, and it will be an internal matter going forward," said WSU SID Bill Stevens from Los Angeles, who confirmed that Long was en route to L.A. along with Jeff Tuel to take part in the Pac-12 Media Day event.

Since he arrived in Pullman, Mike Leach's history has been not to comment or discuss injuries and to also place a high premium on keeping violations of team rules and player discipline under wraps.
