NFL Cougar Highlights: Week Six

TWO COUGAR greats -- with 34 years of NFL experience between them -- walked off the field as heroes on Sunday. Detroit's Jason Hanson and Buffalo's Rian Lindell sealed dramatic victories for their teams with overtime field goals.

The heroics did not begin there for Hanson. His 19-yard field goal with just three tics on the clock in regulation brought the Lions even with Philadelphia and forced the overtime.

Here's how all the NFL Cougs performed in week six:

Erik Coleman, S, Detroit, 9th season: The Spokane native posted one special teams tackle in the Lions' 26-23 overtime victory against Philadelphia.

Jed Collins, FB, New Orleans, 4th season: Did not play; bye week.

Eric Frampton, S, Dallas, 6th season: No recorded stats from the Cowboys' 31-29 loss to Baltimore.

Brandon Gibson, WR, St. Louis, 4th season: The Puyallup native led all Ram receivers with seven catches — including a highlight-reel one-handed grab — for 91 yards in their 17-14 loss to Miami.

Jason Hanson, K, Detroit, 21st season: The Spokane native was perfect on two extra-point attempts and four field goals (long of 46), including the game-winning kick in the Lions' overtime victory against the Eagles.

Jerome Harrison, RB, Detroit, 7th season: Did not play; officially listed on the Lions' reserve/non-football injury list.

Jason Hill, WR, New York Jets, 6th season: Caught one pass — a 5-yard touchdown — in the Jets' 35-9 mauling of the Counterfeit Colts.

Chris Ivory, RB, New Orleans, 3rd season: Did not play; bye week.

Rian Lindell, K, Buffalo, 13th season: The Vancouver native kicked a game-winning 25-yard field goal in overtime as the Bills defeated Arizona, 19-16. He was also true on two extra-point attempts.
