OT visitor, 20 offers, can see himself at WSU

IT'S HARD TO be 6-6 with double-digit offers and still be somewhat off the recruiting radar in late November. But a junior college offensive tackle prospect tripping to Washington State this weekend, Miguel Machado, has done a pretty good job of it. Until now… CF.C spoke with him ahead of his official visit to the Palouse.

Machado, out of Pasadena College, will be in town this weekend for the Cougs' final home game of the season.

"Washington State is a big school and a school in the Pac-12 -- and I can see myself there," Machado told Cougfan.com.

Machado holds offers from 20 schools he said, including Washington State, Michigan State, Louisville, Illinois, Purdue and several other "smaller" schools. He was just offered by MSU Wednesday.

He's tripped to Marshall already. But apart from his official to WSU this weekend, he hasn't yet set firm dates for any of his other planned visits.

"Washington State likes my motor on the field, they like my athleticism -- and they said they like the way I punish defenders," said Machado.
