Coug CB reportedly in hot water with the law

FOR THE SECOND time in a month, Cougar CB Daquawn Brown has been arrested according to a report by Pullman radio station KQQQ. The first incident was relatively benign, driving without a license. Not so on the second, as Brown was reportedly arrested for felony second degree assault and misdemeanor assault.

According to the report, WSU Police responded to a report that a man had assaulted a man and woman during an argument. The female victim suffered concussion-like symptoms and the male victim suffered minor injuries from allegedly being hit in the face. After several days of investigation WSU Police identified Cougar cornerback Daquawn Brown as their suspect.

Brown was interviewed by officers on Friday before being arrested for felony second degree assault and misdemeanor assault and was booked into the Whitman County Jail.

Meanwhile, DT Austin Brown (no relation) was arrested Friday night on charges of third-degree theft at Walmart, according to the Daily Evergreen. The value of items allegedly taken was valued at $50.68.

Mike Leach has three cardinal rules that if broken, earn players an immediate dismissal -- drug use, stealing and abuse of women.

Daquawn Brown had a big true freshman season in 2013, posting 50 tackles and two interceptions while playing in every game and starting four. Austin Brown was a redshirt freshman reserve on the defensive line and had no official statistics in 2013.
