Daquawn Brown, the only WSU corner with appreciable experience this spring, is indeed listed on the spring roster. Brown, who was arrested earlier this month, is also listed as the starting boundary corner on the pre-spring depth chart.
Also, as CF.C reported earlier this month, Pierson Villarrubia and Austin Brown are no longer with the program
and do not appear on the just-released roster.
On the o-line depth chart, Joe Dahl and Gunnar Eklund have flipped positions -- Dahl is now listed as the No. 1 left tackle, while Eklund is the starting left guard.
In the bowl game last year, Eklund and Dahl lined up in the same way. The previous 12 games saw Eklund and Dahl at left tackle and left guard, respectively.
Jacob Seydel is the No. 1 right guard, Cole Madison the starter at right tackle and Sam Flor is the No. 1 center.
There aren't many surprises on the depth chart. Gabe Marks, who was arrested earlier this season, is listed as the starting Z receiver. Marks following his arrest
apologized publicly on Twitter.
Meanwhile on defense, Kache Palacio is listed as the starting BUCK.
A quick first glance shows, among the winter gains of note, Dahl is now 307 pounds, up from 290 on last year's fall roster.
Madison, by the way, is listed at 294 pounds. He was at 265 pounds on last year's roster.
Eklund is 10 pounds heavier at 310, Carlos Freeman went from 303 to 315 pounds and Seydel is at 298 after being listed at 290 last season. Riley Sorenson went from 304 to 315 pounds.
Quarterback Connor Halliday went from 190 to 197 pounds. Safety Taylor Taliulu is listed at 205 pounds, last year he was at 196.
Others have repackaged the weight - for example DL Xavier Cooper is listed at 298 pounds this spring. Last year he was 303 pounds. Toni Pole is down to 290 pounds after being listed at 302 last season.
