TV & times for 4 Coug games announced

FOUR COUGAR GAMES, two road and two home contests, have been selected as part of the Pac-12's early television selections, the conference announced Thursday. The four games with set TV times include the opener with Rutgers in Seattle, the non-conference tilt at Nevada, the home opener against Portland State and the game at Stanford.

WSU-Rutgers will be televised by Fox Sports 1 on Aug. 28. Kickoff for the Thursday night game is scheduled for 7 p.m.

The following week WSU travels to Nevada for a Friday game (Sept. 5). The contest which will be televised by ESPN with a 7:30 p.m. start.

WSU will play its third night game in as many weeks when they host Portland State on Sept. 13. That contest will be televised by the Pac-12 Networks with a 5 p.m. start time.

The Cougs-Cardinal game will be held on Friday night, Oct. 10 at Stanford. That game will be televised by ESPN with a 6 p.m. kickoff time.

While television selections for the first three weeks of the 2014 season have been made, as well as all Thursday and Friday games throughout the season, all remaining television game selections and start times, will be made 12- or six-days in advance.

All Cougar games will be televised, either on ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ABC, Pac-12 Networks, FOX or FOX Sports 1 (some games will also be simulcast on FOX Deportes.)

Season tickets for WSU games are on sale now to the general public. Tickets for The Seattle Game, Aug. 28 versus Rutgers at CenturyLink Field, are currently on sale to season ticket holders and donors to the Cougar Athletic Fund. NOTABLE NOTES:
  • Washington State in 2014 has no back-to-back weeks on the road, (the Seattle Game is considered a home game and there's a bye week between OSU and ASU.)

  • The Cougs play one Thursday night game (Rutgers) and two Friday night games (Nevada, Stanford) with the remainder falling on Saturdays.
