Walnut Creek (Calif.) Las Lomas offensive lineman Noah Myers (6-5, 305) got news he'd always hoped to get.
Always wanting to play in the Pac-12, Myers got his first offer from a Pac-12 school this week when Washington State offered.
"It was great," said Myers. "It's always been a dream of mine. When Washington State offered, I was ecstatic. Coach (Jim) Mastro was who offered me."
Despite the Cougar coaches not seeing him in the spring or at any camp, they saw enough in Myers on film that they offered.
"Coach Mastro actually said that this was the first time in years that they offered a guy without seeing him in person," said Myers. "They liked how nasty I am and wanted to offer me."
Myers camped in the Southland this past week.
Myers camped with the Trojans at their linemen camp.
"USC was really great," said Myers. "We saw all the facilities and it was great to get to work with Coach (Tim) Drevno and great to work with Coach Sark (Steve Sarkisian)."
He also camped at UCLA for their Linemen Camp.
"I worked out with Coach (Adrian) Klemm and I liked it a lot down there," said Myers. When I took my visit, I really liked it."
Both indicated they're going to watch him closely.
"Coach Clay Helton at USC told me he wants to watch me more during my senior season and will make a final decision," said Myers. "And I think UCLA could be closer to offer. They actually didn't say anything about senior film, but that they definitely want to keep in touch."
Most schools like Myers inside.
"I believe most schools like me as a guard," said Myers. "That's what most schools are recruiting me as."
Myers has one more camp this weekend before he shuts it down.
"The last camp I'm attending is Cal this Saturday," said Myers. "Coach (Zach) Yenser said a while back he wanted to offer me, but he needed the offensive coordinator to see me play, so I think when they see me play they'll offer."
Myers said he didn't want to drag out the process too much.
"I wouldn't want to wait too long, but I also don't want to rush into an offer," said Myers. "I definitely won't wait too long though."
