WSU visit, decision coming soon for 3-star

WASHINGTON STATE has already put together an impressive haul at wide receiver this recruiting class but they're not done yet. Among the uncommitted receiver candidates on the radar, and coming up for an unofficial visit next week, is a three-star wideout with a WSU offer who isn't far away from making his decision.

Andre Baccellia out of Westlake Village, Calif., will take an unofficial visit to Washington State on Tuesday with his stepdad, he tells Cougfan.com.

"Obviously Washington State throws the ball a lot, it's a very good offense for a receiver," said Baccellia.

Baccellia (5-11, 170) said a decision could come as soon as late next week after his trip.

"It's going to come before my season, probably not too long after my visits so I'm going to say the beginning of August," said Baccellia. "...It's my decision but I'm a big family guy so we're going to talk about it all as a family after my visits."

He holds offers from Washington State, UW, Colorado, Duke, Fresno State, SDSU and Wyoming.

It's sounding like his decision may come down to WSU and UW, where he will also swing by next week. The UW looks to currently hold an edge as far as familiarity goes.

"I'm not as familiar with WSU's coaching staff yet as I am Washington's because I went to one of their (satellite camps) right close to my house and I like what I'm seeing so far... but from everything I've heard from other people, Washington State has a great staff too," said Baccellia.

As a junior, Baccellia had 46 receptions for 954 yards (20.7 ypc) with 11 TDs and captured first team Marmonte East honors.

He said WSU liked his personality and leadership skills.

"What they liked the most on the field was my speed, route-running ability and they mentioned they really liked how I set up the DBs," said Baccellia.
